Copper
Copper
Copper is necessary for the body to function normally. It is part of a series of enzymes that help metabolism and the metabolism of iron in the body. In order for us to feel good, we therefore need to get a certain amount of copper - but not too much.
Where is there copper?
Copper is found in all foods but mostly in liver and offal, shellfish, nuts and cocoa. More moderate levels are found in meat, fish, vegetables and grains. We also get copper through drinking water. When cooking or storing food in old/antique copper or brass vessels, copper can dissolve.
